I have been trained in the field of documentarist and experimental Italian cinema, thanks to the friendship and connection with influential directors as Ansano Giannarelli e Alberto Grifi.

I studied Art, Music, Theatre and Cinema Discipline at University of Bologna (Cinema Department) and degreed in 2006 with a thesis on the use of hypertexts in Cinema theoretic studies.

Since fiftheen years I work as reporter/filmmaker in the field of independent communication and I realized many documentaries and reportages also in collaboration with various groups, associations, NGO.

Since 2002 I’m president of Visual Communication Project (VCP), an audiovisual production and post-production studio.

In VCP works an excellent group of communication professionals, developing innovative audiovisual projects.

As VCP we collaborate with TELEIMMAGINI, a collective of videomaker based in Bologna. We realize many documentaries, short movies and videoclip. I took part in these works as creator, cameraman ad editor. We also promote workshop projects on independent communication and about the role of new communication technologies in conflict areas.

Since 2005 the VCP collaborate in international cooperation projects in Colombia with the ngo INTERNATIONAL PEACE OBSERVATORY and in Mexico and in Morocco with the grassroots organization NOMADS.

My role is mainly the documentation of the social and cultural projects and the organization of popular communication workshops under the name of POPULAR COMMUNICATION SCHOOL ‘ALBERTO GRIFI’.

Sine 2012 VCP is based in Berlin.

Our work consists of two main lines:

planning of feature-lenght documentaries on social, cultural and anthropological issue;

production of a wide range of audiovisual services for different customers in the area. Mainly we work in the field of live events, realizing video documentation, trailer, spot, video-brochure, live visual performances.

In this organization I work as cameraman, editor and colorist.
